Why I opened up a fitness studio

Growing up I was always active. I was never really a homebody. In our neighborhood we always played sports. Baseball, basketball, football and in summer we always hit the swimming pool. There was always something.

When I got older the activities slowed down and so did my metabolism. So the weight began to hug me. So I began to workout but not quite like before.

In 1998, my dad started getting sick. Heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, memory loss. It just came. He ended up passing away in 2007.

This is when I realized that working out wasn’t just something I can do every now and then. It was a must. So with the working out came the eating better and really learning about the body.

As this was happening, people around me started having all these medical issues that if went unchecked could lead to potentially serious complications. So I began to help them on their journey. By doing this I realized just exercise wasn’t enough. Nutrition was a very important component. So I began to learn about nutrition. Then I realized there is an even more important factor and that is peoples beliefs. Their mindset. Their mindset is actually the catalyst of their journey. It’s having a vision. Because where there is no vision the people perish.

So…Truth 4 Fitness was born.

See, a vision can’t be based on the hottest trend, fad diet, or a quick fix. Like everything that is meant to endure, it has to be based on truth. And as we know, the truth will make you free. And that is what we all need. FREEDOM!
